Tailored sessions provide actionable advice for attendees at the intersection of e-commerce, fraud prevention and payments
Orlando, FL – May 16, 2018 – CNP Expo® 2018, the only event of its kind dedicated to the intersection of e-commerce, fraud prevention, software, mobile, retail and payments, has officially kicked off its annual event. This year, CNP Expo has seen an increase of nearly 30 percent in merchant attendance over last year, with attendees hailing from companies including: Airbnb, Macy’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, Etsy, HBO, Sephora, PetSmart, PlayStation, Dunkin Brands, Inc. and more.
CNP Expo® attendees have the opportunity to take advantage of 50+ hours of education with more than 40 sessions featuring a mixture of panels, merchant case studies, and industry expert keynotes offering practical knowledge and perspective needed to make real world decisions. Many sessions, and the CNP Expo app, brought to you by Simility, were made possible with support from our sponsors including founding sponsor Kount, and other sponsors such as Radial, Sift Science, Ethoca, Whitepages Pro, Innovis and Emailage. As part of the educational program, Scott Adams, a CNP fraud and risk expert, shared insights from his experience fighting fraud in the video game industry during the Tuesday keynote “Level Up Your Fraud Fighting.” Adams touched on key learnings such as overcoming cultural bias, providing the payment method customers want and cultivating the right industry and departmental relationships. Jamie Uppenberg, Director of Digital Products at Discover® Global Network addressed the growing need for a secure, yet frictionless, payment process during the keynote: “Security and Fraud Prevention in the Increasingly Digital World.”
Additionally, attendees will be able to take advantage of today’s programming including the Women in CNP Fraud & Payments Breakfast, additional keynote “Career Lessons from Payments Pioneers” by Tracy Wilk, Executive Coach and former VP of Google Payments, and additional sessions featuring speakers from National Retail Federation, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Sirius XM and others, and the unveiling of the CNP Awards winners.
“Our stellar education sessions and dynamic list of speakers reflect CNP’s commitment to facilitating knowledge sharing and real-world best practices amongst our merchant attendees. It’s critical that merchants are not only able to understand, but actually fix, many of the payment risks and fraud issues their respective companies are facing. As a result, in 2018 we’ve featured more networking events and merchant speaker breakout sessions to directly address many of those issues head on,” said Will Wise, Group Vice President, Security Portfolio at Reed Exhibitions.
“CNP’s steadfast commitment to helping organizations understand how risk ultimately impacts their bottom line is at its height during CNP Expo. Over the past year, we’ve seen a surge in engagement with our online community www.cardnotpresent.com as we continue to generate more and more content merchants care about. At the Expo, attendees have the chance to live and breathe the lessons and solutions we educate them on all year long and it’s always a treat to share these experiences with them face-to-face,” said DJ Murphy, Editor-in-Chief of Card Not Present® (CNP).
