The collaboration lets OneSpan quickly bring FIDO-compliant software solutions to market. Many of the large banks and enterprises that the Company serves will likely benefit from the partnership and resulting offerings, which let organizations contract with one vendor and deploy different types of FIDO-compliant solutions, depending on business needs.
The OneSpan Mobile Security Suite SDK and the Nok NokTM S3 Authentication Suite let banks and enterprises build secure mobile and online applications without compromising the user’s experience by replacing static passwords with advanced authentication options, including biometrics, to thwart fraud.
Additional fraud-detection, phishing-resistance and prevention benefits including geolocation, jailbreak and rootkit detection, device binding, device identification and application shielding with Runtime Application Self-Protection (RASP) are other key features.
“Enabling a secure yet frictionless experience is in line with OneSpan’s customer-centric vision, and as such, we endorse FIDO standards-based authentication,” said OneSpan CEO Scott Clements.
OneSpan is a FIDO Alliance board member and is expected to introduce additional software, server, and SDK support for the FIDO2 protocol later this year.
